The pressure sore bandage for dogs was developed to specifically protect and relieve the sensitive elbow area. It is suitable both for existing pressure sores and for supportive care in cases of elbow dysplasia (ED), and can also be used preventively.

Thanks to its ergonomic shape, the bandage protects the elbow from pressure, friction and hard surfaces without restricting the dog's natural freedom of movement.

Function and areas of application

Protection from pressure and friction

The bandage forms a protective barrier between the elbow and the floor. It reduces mechanical stress caused by lying on hard surfaces and protects the skin from irritation, cracks, and contamination.

Relief from pressure sores and ED

Integrated padding cushions pressure and impacts in the elbow area. This allows the brace to help relieve pain and soothe the affected area – especially in cases of pressure sores or as an adjunct to elbow dysplasia.

Supporting regeneration

The protected environment allows the skin to regenerate more effectively. The even pressure can also support blood circulation in the elbow area, thus promoting the healing process.

Preventive use

Even healthy dogs can use the bandage preventively to counteract the development of pressure sores. Particularly large and heavy dogs benefit from early relief of pressure on the elbow.
