Our sizes differ from the sizes of other manufacturers because they have been individually designed for our product. Most dogs fit in two sizes as our sizes overlap.
When measuring, please also consider the length of your dog's fur. If in doubt between two sizes, choose the larger one if your dog is rather wide and short-legged and the smaller one if he is rather long-legged and narrow.
To evaluate the right size for your dog, you need to measure the circumference behind his front legs (B). To determine the length of the front strap, measure the circumference of the front chest area (armpit-cleavage-armpit).
To do this, use a tape measure and place the tape loosely at shoulder height to measure the front belt.
The anti-stress harness STURMFREI® is the only front harness whose front strap can be individually adjusted in height.
The front belt is loose when standing. When sitting, he moves towards the dog (back) as the shoulders shift backwards in the seat. It is therefore important that you apply the measuring tape loosely when measuring the dog while standing.
The STURMFREI Saver has two abdominal straps and a front strap. The front strap is identical to the dimensions of the STURMFREI® Original.
The front waist belt has the same length as the waist belt of the STURMFREI® Original. In sizes S to L, the second waist belt, which is approximately 5 cm behind the front waist belt, is shortened by 10 cm, as many dogs in these sizes are a little narrower towards the back.
Due to the very wide range of adjustability of the abdominal straps (up to 50 cm), measuring the position of the second abdominal strap is not absolutely necessary.
