With the guidance from the front the communication between human and dog improves easily. Like all mammals, the dog concentrates primarily on the stimuli from the front and follows what attracts its attention.
The STURMFREI® Saver has a second belly belt to provide you with more security in case your dog is prone to outburst reactions.
Lead the dog from the front instead of punishing it via neck pressure or putting it into a chase via leading on the back. Pressure on the shoulder when the leash is tightened provokes a distraction and allows the dog to turn to where his attention should be directed.
Leading from the front:
- Corresponds to biologically designed stimulus-response chains to stay or steer (communication through the front).
- Allows the dog to remain upright in gait instead of stiffening up to the front
- Reduces the risk of leash aggression and biting
- Gently slows the dog down at the shoulder when the leash is tightened and does not convey a sense of severe threat (collar)
- Allows dog encounters to be interrupted without stress by turning away
- Does not trigger chasing (chest harnesses/traction harnesses) and does not narrow the dog's field of perception - the dog is responsive
- Can have a positive effect on health (less stress symptoms due to decreasing tension on the leash when tightened)
-
Supports the socialization of the dog and the development of a healthy dog personality with social skills towards other dogs
